  Went in and closed my account due to moving. Forgot to throw away my checks and accidently wrote a check for rent. Was notified by my BBT app that I was charged a $35 NSF fee. Puzzled as to how I could get charged an NSF fee when the account was already closed out, I called to inquire. I was told I would need to come back into the bank to address the issue. Made a SECOND trip to the bank and was told the woman who helped me the first time didn't close the account out the right way, and that my NSF fee would be removed since it was their error. This happened 2 months ago and I still get phone calls from BBT's automated system about the NSF fee I owe them. I called the bank this morning to find out why the charge hasn't been removed and was told I needed to leave a message. I have yet to hear back from them. Friendly staff, but NOT knowledgeable nor are they quick to respond to any issues.

  I don't understand the under 2 star rating for this bank at this time, as the other reviews don't open. This particular location has always served my needs with no delays and they have always been courteous and very business oriented at the highest level with any need I've ever had. I've been going here for almost 4 years with no issues at all. There are times when I felt more tellers were needed during peak times, like Friday afternoon, but other than that, this bank, by far, is better than any other bank I've been associated with in my 40+ years of bank experience.
